John O'Quinn was famous both for his skill as a lawyer — securing $17.3 billion in a tobacco settlement — and his incredible car collection. He was killed this morning when he lost control of his Suburban and crashed.

The son of a garage owner and car enthusiast, O'Quinn never lost his interest in automobiles and automobila. His collection rivals almost anyone's and includes hundreds of famous and well-known cars including half-a-dozen Duesenbergs, one of JFK's Continental limos, Source: Jalopnik RSS Feed

Asus is going to launch a smartbook after all

Despite what he said back in August, Asus CEO Jerry Shen confirmed this week that they will in fact be releasing a smartbook product sometime during 1Q2010.

This is a dramatic about face from what was stated previously, I wonder is Asus perhaps underestimated the demand for small, lightweight, Android based products when they made their previous statements. Mr. Shen also said that Asus R&D has been working quite hard, and we should expect to see quite a few new products from them in Source: CrunchGear RSS Feed

PSA: Xbox mandatory update isn't 'The Big One,' adds WPA2 support for wireless adapter

Those of you who woke up extra early this morning to get in precious alone time with your Xbox 360 (we understand - we do it all the time) may have been tricked when a mandatory system update greeted you in place of the dashboard. Alas, the much ballyhoo'd Facebook/Twitter/Last.fm update has not yet arrived, as Microsoft's Major Nelson points out on his site.
Instead, the update brings with it support for the now five-year-old WPA2 security protocol. With that new and improvedSource: Xbox 360 Fanboy RSS Feed

In a rather odd unfolding of events, it seems as if Barnes & Noble is finally clearing up the mystery behind that Plastic Logic e-reader slated to hit its retail locations by Spring of 2010. Mud graffiti is fun, eco-friendly

I'm not normally a huge fan of graffiti, but I like Jesse Grave's this technique of using mud stencils to make temporary graffiti. It seems like a nice, low impact alternative to moss graffiti, plus you get to play with mud! He seems to be getting good results, however I wonder how well it holds up as it dries out.
